all-you-can-eat or all-you-care-to-eat
What is a buffet? Is the purpose to eat all that one can possibly fit into their gullet? Or is it to enjoy a variety of foods? With the all-you-can-eat philosophy, variety, taste, and quality takes a far-back seat (or possibly, even in the trunk) to quantity of food to price ratio. Even without purposely trying to gorge, the temptation to keep eating just one plate more often leads to over-eating, then feeling sick, and finally regretting the entire dining experience. Buffets: an exploration in self-hatred.
